Some of the WeCare members have suggested that we send out more regular information on how the network is progressing. We listened and here is the first update which has been split into 4 parts.
Firstly, we’d like to start off by thanking you for your support and enthusiasm for our growing WeCare Network.
Our vision has always been to create an Independent Pharmacy Network to rival the corporate chains and cement the future of Independent Pharmacy in South Africa.
Now, almost two years down the road, we are 320 WeCare members strong and a network to be proud of.
Here’s what you need to know about the Network:
Nationwide Data Training for Pharmacy
The “Making Sense of Data” training kicked off in February this year and ran through until the end of April. We had 260 people and 180 pharmacies attend in total. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Attendees commented that it was some of the best business training they had received. They were recharged and motivated to implement some of the things they had learned.
The training covered:
- How to set up and use the “White Label Wizard” exclusive program for WeCare members
- An exciting LIVE demo on the “Izzy Pix” data analysis program for WeCare members
- The importance of customer data and digital media, enabling the Izzy Automated Services
– i. SMS repeat reminders to collect medication
– ii. SMS for birthdays, special events & Christmas etc.
– iii. WeCare digital patient and front shop magazine)
- An introduction to the “WeCare Loyalty” exclusive software system for WeCare members
NEW WeCare Super Sunday Sessions
We’ve had a lot of requests for more frequent, hands-on training.
In response, we’re happy to announce the ‘Super Sunday Sessions’, a series of 2-3 hour training workshops which will run every two months, starting in July.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- July: The White Label Wizard and WeCare Clinic exclusive programs
- September: Loyalty how to setup, staff implementation and buy-in
- November: Izzy Pix and Integrated POS / Dispensary / Wholesaler Ordering
These sessions are a great opportunity to work on your own pharmacy data and reports, so it’s well worth the time investment.

Customer Data Collection is now “life and death” for independent pharmacy…
We have always stressed the importance of collecting your customer data. This information gives you a way to contact your customers electronically, in an era where the posted pamphlet or newspaper ad is largely ignored.
Big Corporate retailers (like Clicks, Dis-chem etc.) understand the seriousness of this issue. They make it a top priority for staff to be trained, they set targets and some even offer their cashiers incentives to:
– i. ASK for your loyalty card and
– ii. sign customers onto your loyalty system.
Whether you use simple sign up forms or a loyalty system, there’s always an opportunity to collect customer email addresses and cell phone numbers. You and your staff need constant reminding, motivating and training to ASK for these important details – “it’s life and death!”
The WeCare (App) Exclusive Management Suite and Special Reports Has Been Launched
The WeCare App has just had an extreme makeover, which has taken our flagship product to a completely new level and is being re-launched as the WeCare Exclusive Management Suite. No-one else can offer this kind of integrated technology, functionality and elegant design.
Additionally, we’ve developed a new set of “Special Reports” that summarize your most important data. These reports will only be available through your WeCare ROM or through the WeCare Business Centre.
With these reports you can easily track:
- Repeats missed tracking system (don’t lose money!)
- Sales, year on year
- Staff activity
- And loyalty sign ups to name a few…
